An accident involving a car and a taxi took place near Keppel Road on Aug 26.

SINGAPORE – Four people were taken to hospital after an accident involving a car and a taxi near Keppel Road on the morning of Aug 26.
In response to queries from The Straits Times, the police said they were alerted to an accident at the junction of Keppel Road towards AYE and Kampong Bahru Road at about 9am that day.
A 58-year-old male car driver, his 51-year-old female passenger, a 65-year-old female taxi driver and her 46-year-old female passenger were taken conscious to hospital, the police said.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it took four people to Singapore General Hospital.
A photograph of the accident, posted on Facebook on Aug 26, shows a dark-coloured car in the middle of the road with its front heavily damaged.
Another photo shows a white car that appears to have mounted a kerb and crashed into a traffic light.
Investigations are ongoing, said the police.
